Centralized Instrument Laboratory

Common facility is available for the institute in the Centralized Instrument Laboratory with the following equipment.

• Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS)

• Gas Chromatography (GC)

• Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GCMS)

• High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)

• High Speed Refrigerated Centrifuge

• UV - VIS Spectrophotometer

• Rotavapour

Soil and Leaf Analysis Laboratory

The institute has established laboratory facilities for soil testing and leaf nutrient analysis.  Advisory service on fertilizer management has been provided to oil palm growers based on soil and leaf analysis.  The laboratory has also facility for water analysis to test the quality of irrigation water for its salt content.

ARIS Cell

The institute has a local area network of computers and provides networking and internet facilities to all users.  Internet facility is provided with the help of BSNL Broadband.

Palm Oil Mills

A palm oil mill of 1 ton/hour has been established at Palode to cater to the needs of small farmers.

A mini palm oil mill has been established at Pedavegi with a view to study Oil Extraction Ratio (OER).
